Valley Metro Light Rail
If your hotel isn’t within walking distance of the Phoenix Convention Center, the Valley Metro Light Rail is a convenient and affordable way to get there. With frequent service and stops throughout Phoenix, Tempe, and Mesa, the light rail connects many major hotels and neighborhoods directly to downtown Phoenix. Simply hop on at the nearest station and ride to the 3rd Street/Washington or 3rd Street/Jefferson stops—both just steps from the Convention Center. Trains run every 12–20 minutes, making it easy to plan your trip without the hassle of parking or traffic.

The first full trip of the day begins at 4:40 a.m. at the end-of-line stations. The last full trip of the day begins at 11 p.m., arriving at the opposite end of the line after midnight. Trains leaving the end-of-line after 11 p.m. do not complete full trips to the other end of line.
Sunday and holidays
The first full trip of the day begins at 5 a.m. at the end-of-line stations. The last full trip of the day begins at 11 p.m., arriving at the opposite end of the line after midnight. Trains leaving the end-of-line after 11 p.m. do not complete full trips to the other end of line.
Frequency: Trains arrive every 20 minutes.

The cost is $2 for a one-way ticket for $4 for a day pass.

- Weekdays: Trains arrive every 12 minutes from start of service until 7 p.m. and every 20 minutes after 7 p.m.
- Saturdays: Trains arrive every 15 minutes from start of service until 7 p.m. and every 20 minutes after 7 p.m.

Valley Metro riders now have a new, easy way to pay with the addition of mobile fare! Mobile fare is now available in the Valley Metro app. Riders can purchase fare at their own convenience before their next ride. To access mobile fare, customers need to download the Valley Metro app and create an account with a valid email address. Riders can purchase passes by adding a payment method, including Apple and Google pay options. The 1-Ride and 1-Day passes are available for both full and reduced fare.
